About Us

At Staging 2 Sell It, we are a fully insured, woman-owned, family-founded home staging and interior design studio serving clients throughout Central Iowa. Our work is rooted in experience, strategy, and a deep understanding of how thoughtfully designed spaces influence both emotion and value. We offer a full suite of services including vacant and occupied staging, photo prep consultations, interior design services, real estate photography coordination, curb appeal styling, and interior painting.

We believe the most successful projects begin with listening. By taking the time to understand each client’s goals, timeline, and lifestyle, we are able to create tailored solutions that feel intentional and elevated. Whether preparing a home for market, maximizing buyer appeal through full-service staging, or refining a space to be more beautiful and functional, our approach is always guided by clarity, expertise, and attention to detail.

With a curated inventory and an 8,000 square foot warehouse, we are able to style each home in a way that highlights its architecture, enhances flow, and showcases its unique character. Based in Marshalltown, we proudly serve Ames, Ankeny, Bondurant, Boone, Cedar Falls, Des Moines, Waverly, Waterloo, and surrounding communities across Central Iowa.

Meet Alushia
Owner + Lead Designer, Staging 2 Sell It

Alushia Fitzgerald is the owner and lead designer of Staging 2 Sell It, where she transforms everyday houses into highly desirable homes through a thoughtful blend of design strategy, market insight, and elevated style. With a degree in interior design and a sharp eye for detail, she began her career in Chicago designing model homes for a real estate developer, gaining firsthand experience in how spaces need to function, photograph, and connect emotionally with buyers.

Her design journey has taken her from Chicago high-rises to Midwest neighborhoods in Kansas City, with a formative three-year chapter in South Korea, where she taught English, immersed herself in a new culture, and met her husband, Blair, a New Zealand native. These varied experiences continue to influence her approach to design, blending global perspective with practical, livable solutions.

Now based in Iowa, Alushia leads the family-founded business her mom started, officially taking ownership in April 2025. While home staging remains the foundation of Staging 2 Sell It, the studio also offers full-service interior design for homeowners and builders seeking spaces that are both functional and beautifully considered.

Outside of design work, Alushia serves as President of the Marshalltown Central Business District, helping shape community-focused events and initiatives downtown. When she’s not juggling projects or talking paint colors, she’s planning her next trip to New Zealand, spending time with her two rescue pups, Maddie and Daisy, and enjoying a well-earned glass of wine.
